Robert Gallagher, a founding partner at The Wind Law Group, PLLC, is a South Florida native. Robert brings courtroom experience to the Firm’s Florida practice, having tried over 50 criminal cases to verdict. On the civil side, Robert has had success in Florida litigating various property damage losses under first-party property policies. Robert represents property owners and community associations in insurance coverage disputes. 

 

Before entering private practice, Robert began his legal career in the public sector, working in the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., the Department of Justice in New Orleans, and then as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s 17th Judicial Circuit for Broward County. As a Florida prosecutor, he handled over 2,500 cases ranging from DUI to first-degree felonies.

In the private sector, Robert has worked as an insurance defense attorney at a top international law firm in Manhattan and a large insurance defense firm in South Florida. He uses his experience from the defense side to advocate on behalf of policyholders in first-party property insurance cases. 

 

Robert graduated from both Tulane University Business School, majoring in Legal Studies in Business, and Tulane Law School. Robert developed his research skills as an Analytic Extern for the San Antonio Spurs and honed his writing skills as the Senior Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.
